ABOUT
Lune à Boire is a story that intertwines life, humanity, wine, the moon, and the magnificent terroirs of Alsace.
This story began in 2014 with Luc, a biodynamic winemaker, from whom we purchased our first grapes with the aim of producing Crémant. Then, in 2015, we acquired Pinot Noir grapes from François, an organic winemaker, to create the Pinot Boir cuvée under the Marc Kreydenweiss label.
In 2021, the time came for us to unleash our imagination and produce a range of unpretentious wines, meant to be shared and reflecting our own style: the Lune à Boire range was born.
WHY LUNE À BOIRE?
A meeting with a Strasbourg artist we had already worked with, Nathyi. On the wall of our living room, four scratch cards representing moons with different emotions and facial expressions, highlighted on old 45 rpm vinyl records, themselves mounted on vintage aluminium film‑reel boxes. For us it was obvious: her work is totally in tune with the overall vision we have for our Lune à Boire cuvées.
And when, in the evening, wine meets the Moon, a vinyl spins and the wine becomes Lune à Boire!
PHILOSOPHY
Our approach is simple and reflects who we are: a collaboration with winemaker friends who are passionate about their craft, highly sensitive to and respectful of living things. They practise organic viticulture and grow grapes that fully express their terroir.
We favour gentle, free‑spirited winemaking, in all simplicity. There are no limits to the way we work – blending terroirs, grape varieties and even vintages. The only limit is the quality and the expression of our Alsatian terroirs in the bottle.
